Deptford Reach
A Landscape Led by the Creek
Deptford Reach is being crafted as a bold, multi-level landscape shaped by the tidal character of the creek itself. At its heart are calm, green spaces with lush planting, shaded seating, and flexible areas for gathering and pause. These flow upward into podium terraces designed for play, relaxation, and social connection. More than 200 new trees define and enrich the streetscape, while the DLR line above brings a distinctive, urban rhythm that anchors the place’s identity.
A Collection of Immersive Experiences
Deptford Reach offers a curated sequence of spaces—from woodland edges and the elevated Overlook to active courtyards, artisan studios, and vibrant café terraces. Each setting supports everyday life in its many forms: informal play, community events, outdoor work, quiet retreat, and smooth, intuitive movement through the site.
A heartfelt thank you to our client RER London, CZWG Architects and evolver/uk Place Strategy for their trust and collaboration. And a special appreciation to Hali McGuinness and our Director of Landscape Architecture Heidi von Kotzé, whose creativity, leadership, and energy have been instrumental throughout the design journey.
