Burlington Road, Dublin

The landscape design has adhered strictly to the primary aim of retaining as many existing trees and their root conditions as possible.

The trees are a primary feature of the site (and Burlington Road itself) and will provide the proposed architectural design with an instant setting, that would take years to achieve if relying only on new tree planting; however large.

The proposed step, ramp and seating structure arrangement hovers over existing tree roots and provides a compliant, subtle and yet grand ascent from the public realm to the building’s double height entrance foyer. Sunken courtyard gardens are found at basement level, either side of the entrance.
