square and a balanced setting for the tower to the North The new Garden Square frames the view of 1 Merchant Square from the canal and creates a variety of amenity spaces for residents, workers and visitors. The central area is a grass meadow with an avenue of trees connecting the Westway to a canal side event space and new pedestrian footbridge

Merchant Squares masterplan comprises four new buildings in total on a 1.6 hectare site bounded by the Westway to the North, Paddington Basin to the South.
The buildings share a common basement and a new landscaped public Garden Square.
